Tim Johns Death, Obituary – It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Deputy Tim Johns, a beloved Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Deputy and school resource officer at Brookwood High School. Deputy Johns tragically collapsed on campus on Tuesday and was rushed to the hospital with a police escort. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the hospital. Deputy Tim Johns was not only a dedicated law enforcement officer but also a military veteran who had committed much of his life to serving and protecting his community.
As the school resource officer at Brookwood High School, he played a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the students and staff, and his presence was deeply valued by all who knew him. The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office expressed their profound sorrow in a Facebook post, stating, “It is always heartbreaking to lose someone who dedicated so much of their life to serving the community. Deputy Tim Johns’ passing is a great loss, not only to his colleagues at the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office but also to the students and staff at Brookwood High School.”
