The accident occurred in the 4200 block of Lake Mary Road just before 1 p.m. on Sunday, when Swendsen’s motorcycle collided with a truck driven by 65-year-old Christopher Jon Hands of Phoenix. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced Swendsen dead upon their arrival.
 Driver Arrested for Impairment
After locating and contacting Hands, officers noticed clear signs of impairment. Following their initial investigation, Flagstaff police arrested Hands and booked him into Coconino County Jail. He faces serious charges, including second-degree murder, failure to stop for a vehicle accident involving death, and DUI alcohol.
