Jerry was a powerhouse frontman who brought energy, charisma, and soul to the stage, captivating audiences wherever he performed. His voice was the heart and soul of the band, and his contributions to music have left an indelible mark on the ska and soul scenes. The Untouchables rose to prominence at a pivotal time in music history.
When the 2Tone movement began to fade by 1984, Jerry and the band kept the ska flame alive, breaking through the UK charts with their iconic hit “Free Yourself.” Their music brought a fresh, vibrant sound to the scene, blending ska, soul, and mod influences into something entirely their own. Jerry’s unique voice and the band’s tight grooves earned them a dedicated following. Their debut album, *Wild Child*, became an instant classic, showcasing Jerry’s vocal talents and the band’s knack for catchy, upbeat tunes.
