Fred Ganoe Death, Obituary – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Fred Ganoe, a lifetime member and dedicated leader within our community. Fred held numerous positions during his time here, including President, Vice President, Assistant Chief, STO, and Board Member. Most recently, he served as our President for the past three years, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to our organization and the people we serve. Fred’s journey with us began at a remarkably young age.
At just 16, he became the youngest EMT in the state of West Virginia, a title that highlighted his passion for helping others. Throughout his long career, Fred maintained his EMT certification, always staying ready to serve and save lives. His dedication was unmatched, and to think of the number of lives he touched and saved over the years is nothing short of inspiring. His leadership and service extended far beyond the roles he held. Fred was a mentor to many and a friend to all. His calm presence in times of crisis, his willingness to lend a helping hand, and his compassion for others made him a pillar of strength in our community.
Whether he was leading an operation or providing support behind the scenes, Fred’s influence was felt by everyone who knew him. Fred’s passing leaves a tremendous void, not only within our organization but in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy of service and his admirable dedication to saving lives will continue to inspire future generations. His commitment, kindness, and sense of duty will never be forgotten. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to Fred’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
