Retired Onondaga County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Curtis Dailey tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on September 30, 2024. Just before 5:30 p.m. on the day of the accident, New York State Police were dispatched to a scene on Interstate 81 southbound in the Town of Richland. Upon arrival, they learned that Lieutenant Dailey, 67, of Phoenix, was riding his motorcycle south when he lost control. Tragically, his motorcycle veered off the road, striking a guardrail on the west shoulder. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but unfortunately, Lieutenant Dailey succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
